The ISSA Academy diploma programme aims to enable ISSA members to gain a profound understanding of the ISSA Guidelines and the use of the Guidelines in improving the governance within their social security institutions.

The ISSA Guidelines on Good Governance offer practical guidance for the board and management and address nine strategic areas in social security administration: strategic planning; risk management; internal audit of operations; actuarial assessment of financial sustainability; enforcing the "prudent person" principle in investment management; prevention and control of error, evasion and fraud in contributions and benefits; service standards for members and beneficiaries; human capital policies; and ICT governance.
Who can participate?
The training course is designed for social security professionals working in ISSA member institutions. In particular, board members, managers and professionals holding positions directly related to the nine areas covered by the Guidelines.
How many people can participate?
Each training course can accommodate up to 25 participants from ISSA member institutions.
How to apply for the training course
Applicants should submit their registration no later than 23 March 2020, supported by a letter from their sponsoring institution, indicating to assume the costs of the participant.

Cost of participation
The participation fees at the diploma programs is USD 1,600 per participant (group discounts are available). The fee includes 50 hours of training divided between online and in-class training sessions, tuition fees, diploma from ISSA & the Muhanna Foundation, training material, coffee breaks and lunch and a guided tour around the city. Travel, visa and accommodation are excluded.
