Overcrowding caused by the number of pensioners attending to collect payment of their entitlements has led the National Social Security Fund (Caisse nationale de sécurité sociale – CNSS) of the Central African Republic to switch to paying insured persons through the banking system, using prepaid cards.

This practice has made it possible to reduce waiting times and eliminate congestion at the institution’s service counters. It also enables the organization to pay the benefits to the real beneficiaries and fight fraud.
