What are the conditions of the Recognition programme

Conditions

  1. There is an administrative fee of 5,000 CHF to participate in the ISSA Recognition programme. This fee is for each set of Guidelines for which an ISSA member institution chooses to be assessed, and is used to cover the costs of the independent expert who carries out the evaluation and other administrative costs. At the time of expression of interest, the ISSA will issue an invoice. Upon receipt of payment, the formal Recognition process will commence.

  2. At the time of the ISSA Recognition evaluation, the member institution confirms that all information and documentation provided is factual and reflects true business practice of the institution.

  3. Evaluations may be conducted in English, French, Spanish or German. If the member has supporting documents that are not in the evaluation language, the member can submit the original documents accompanied by a comprehensive summary in one of the evaluation languages.

  4. Following the successful completion of the assessment, the member is given a Certificate of Excellence for the successful application of the specific set of ISSA Guidelines. The certificate is valid for three (3) years.

  5. Following the successful completion of the assessment, the member has the right to use the ISSA Recognition logo on their communication materials - website, publications and letterhead. The member can use the Recognition logo for three years from the date noted on the recognition certificate.

  6. At the end of the three-year period, the member will need to submit a request for Recertification.

  7. If the initial assessment is not successful, the member is given six months to implement recommendations made by the independent expert. At the end of the six months or before if appropriate, the member is invited to submit their evidence of compliance to the expert for reassessment.
