27.–29. April 2011 | Mexico CityMexiko

The ISSA Liaison Office for North and Central America will be officially inaugurated in Mexico City on 27 April 2011, in the presence of representatives of the Mexican Government and international organizations.

The new Liaison Office, which has been operational since late 2010, will promote collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and solutions to common concerns among the Association’s members, to ensure the delivery of the ISSA’s programmes and further support the development of social security in the North and Central American region.

The Liaison Office, which will be hosted by the State Employees' Social Security and Social Services Institute (Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado), will work with ISSA members and social security institutions in Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and the United States.

The opening of the Liaison Office will be a highlight of the first Social Security Week for the Americas, which will take place in Mexico City, 27-29 April 2011.

The event is open to ISSA members and invited participants only.
