XIII SISE International Symposium on Electrical Safety in Bogotá, Colombia

From 7–9 June 2022 the XIII International Symposium on Electrical Safety (SISE) was held in Bogotá, Colombia. 110 attendees from nine different Latin American countries participated in the event. In 2021, the Symposium only took place virtually due to COVID-19-related restrictions.

The International Symposium on Electrical Safety is a scientific event that aims to improve Health and Safety standards for professionals in the electricity sector. This year’s edition was hosted by the ISSA Section for Electricity in cooperation with the Latin American Commission for Regional Energy Integration, CIER, and the Colombian Committee of CIER, COCIER.

The Symposium focused on topics such as:

  • Successful prevention strategies
  • New trends with an impact on electrical safety
  • Occupational Safety and Health: Practical experiences and accident examples

On the last day of the event, two technical visits to the training facilities of Colombian companies were organized.
