7th International Social Security Symposium of the Social Security Institution of Turkey:
Migration and social security

25–26 April 2018 | AnkaraTürkiye

The number of migrant workers is constantly on the increase, due to economic reasons or because of conflicts. The adequate protection of the migrant workers is a challenge for social security organizations. To address this issue, the Social Security Institution of Turkey is organizing a symposium in Ankara on 25-26 April on the topic of Migration and social security

Every year since 2010, the Social Security Institution of Turkey has organized a social security symposium on various topics. The main objectives of these symposiums are to gather relevant national and international institutions/organizations, follow developments about current trends and technological changes, share knowledge about best practices and draw attention to the legal, technical and administrative challenges.

The Symposium will provide a unique global platform to discuss some of the critical issues on Migration and Social Security. It will also be a platform for sharing good practices, knowledge and experiences between related institutions and organizations.

In this context, the 7th International Social Security Symposium on “Migration and Social Security” will be held by the Social Security Institution of Turkish Republic (SGK) on April 25 - 26, 2018 in Ankara, Turkey, in collaboration with different international organizations.

The event is aimed at senior managers, experts, policy makers and academicians in the migration and social security fields and it addresses the strategic challenges in the field of Migration and Social Security.
