In view of the continued impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the International Social Security Association (ISSA) regrets to inform you that the ISSA Regional Social Security Forum (RSSF) for the Americas scheduled for 2–4 December 2020 is postponed to 1−3 December 2021.
This decision was made jointly by the ISSA and the host organization, the Social Insurance Fund of Costa Rica (Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social – CCSS). Member institutions who have participated in the Good Practice Award for the Americas competition will be individually informed of the results, the good practices will be publicly available on 3 December 2020, and the Award winner will be publicly announced at the RSSF in 2021.
However, taking stock of the dynamic social security responses to COVID-19 and assessing the long-term challenges and lessons learned cannot wait until December 2021. The ISSA and the CCSS are therefore pleased to announce the ISSA Social Security Virtual Summit for the Americas to take place on 3 December 2020. More information on the Virtual Summit will follow soon.
