Welcome to the most important social security event for Europe!
Labour market transformations, demographic change and evolving public expectations challenge social security systems to innovate in order to guarantee sustainability, ensure adequacy and maintain coverage for all types of workers. At the same time, new technologies provide opportunities for social security institutions to tailor services, enhance pro-active measures and communicate with the public. In this dynamic context, the disruptive COVID-19 pandemic has triggered unprecedented social security responses and requires adapting social security strategies going forward.
As the first in-presence gathering for two years, the Regional Social Security Forum for Europe, organized by the International Social Security Association (ISSA), will provide a unique platform for ISSA members to analyse the short-term responses and long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, discuss key social security challenges, be inspired by innovative solutions and define strategies to shape the future of social security in Europe.
The ISSA Regional Social Security Forum for Europe will take place in Tallinn, Estonia, at the invitation of the Estonian National Social Insurance Board.
2−3 May 2022.
Please note that this event will take place just before the 16th ISSA International Conference on Information and Communication Technology in Social Security, also held in Tallinn, 4–6 May 2022
The Forum will bring together CEOs and senior managers of ISSA member organizations in Europe, as well as senior government representatives, policy-makers, experts and representatives of international and regional organizations.
The languages of the Forum are English, French, German and Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in these languages and in Russian.
The Forum programme will cover the following areas:
|Day 1:||Shaping the future of social security in Europe: Priorities, innovative strategies and long-term impact of the pandemic|
|Day 2:||Excellence in social security administration in Europe: Good practices, innovations and emerging developments|
The programme will also feature exciting networking opportunities and the Ceremony to present the ISSA Good Practice Award for Europe 2022. This Award recognizes good practices in the administration of social security, a selection of which will also be featured as part of the sessions on excellence.
The Forum is open to delegates of ISSA European member organizations and invited institutions. There is no registration fee for ISSA members. Participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation costs. Representatives of non-member institutions are requested to contact the ISSA General Secretariat for the terms and conditions of participation.
Registration will open in early 2022.
