You will enter the platform by first logging to your "My ISSA", using your username and password.
- How can I enter the platform?

You first need to register on ISSA event website. After registering, you will be able to enter the platform directly from your account "My ISSA".
- How can I enter again?

You can return to the platform from you account "My ISSA".
- What time zone is used for the sessions and meetings?
-
By default, the system follows your device's time zone. But you have an option to switch to your event's time zone in the left side once you click on the "Programme & Live Sessions" tab. You can also modify the time zone from your profile by selecting another one.
- How to modify my interface language?

The platform is available in English, French, German and Spanish. Go to "My profile", then click on "Settings," and select the language of your choice.
- Do I need to install or download anything in order to attend the event?

There is no need to download or install anything prior to the event. The event will automatically open in a web browser. If windows do not open automatically, be sure to double check that pop-ups are allowed in your browser.
- Are there any special device or bandwidth requirements for me to attend?

We recommend hi-speed internet for the best viewing experience. We strongly suggest that you join the event using a supported internet browser, which includes the most up-to-date version of Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari. Internet Explorer is not supported by Swapcard online platform.
- Data privacy: How is my data processed?

We pay a lot of attention to how our registrants’ data is treated. Only you can decide to share them using the platform networking features. All data are processed and stored compliant to the GDPR. To know more about how your data is processed, please read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
- What are the official languages of the event?

Working languages for documents and online platform are English, French, German and Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in those languages as well as in Russian.
- How can I reduce or zoom screen?

Press CTRL + (or CTRL -) and scrool your mouse.
Setting-up my profile
- How to complete my profile?

From the drop-down on the upper-right corner of your screen, click “My profile”.
- How do I add a photo to my profile?

Go to "My profile" tab, then first select the “Edit” button on the top right and then click on the “+” button.
- How to add a bio to my profile?
-
In your profile "About me", the biography will allow you to introduce yourself in a few words. To add a bio, go to the "My Profile" tab and then click "Edit" in the Bio box. Describe yourself in a few words and do not forget to save.
- How to manage my email notifications?

To manage the receiving of email notifications, go to "My profile" tab then "Settings" tab, then In "Email notifications" section, you can activate/deactivate the following notifications:
1. Reminder of the activities unseen.
2. Reminder of the connection requests you have not replied yet.

Networking
- How to find a participant & connect?

From homepage, click on the button "Network with Attendees"
- What are the various ways I can interact with other attendees?

There are a variety of ways you can interact with other attendees: making connections, messaging, video conferencing, community chat rooms (group chat tab), Q&A chats in live sessions, etc. Use the filters (country and interest) to connect with people!
- Where do I go to send a connection request?

You need to navigate to the profile of the user to whom you wish to send a connection and then use the "Send a Connection Request" box on the right hand side of the page.
- Where can I see all of my messages?

You can see all of your messages under the "Messages" icon 🗨 on the top of the Web app page.
- How can I accept the connection / add someone to my contacts?

You will receive a message / notification, then accept the connection request by clicking on the green arrow. Now you can start chat and do video calls with the contact persons.
- How do I connect via Chat with a connection?

Once another attendee accepts your "Connection Request", you can easily chat with them via text chat or video. Click the "Chat Message" icon in the top right area of the menu/navigation and begin typing in the chat box.
- How do I start a video discussion?

Search in your contacts the person you want to invite to your discussion or create your own group discussion with up to 10 participants. To start video chatting, click the Video Icon and a video call will be placed. You will then be able to have a video conference right within the platform!
- Where can I see all the notifications and is a sound played when there is a new chat or notification?

All notifications (without sound) are shown under the "Notifications" icon 🔔. At the top, if you are logged in with your laptop, and at the bottom if you are on your mobile.
- How to see if someone is online / filter participants online

Go to "Network with Attendees" and you will see a green spot when participants are online.
- How to export my contacts?

To export your contacts, go to the "Contacts" tab of the application, then click on the "Download" button. You will obtain an Excel file gathering all your contacts made.
Please keep in mind:
1. You can only export confirmed connections.
2. Chats cannot be exported out as they are encrypted.
3. If you just have a chat conversation with someone that is not a confirmed connection, that person is not part of your contacts.

Sessions
- Where is the schedule?

Simply click on the "Programme & Live Sessions" tab. You can then select the date and view the schedule for each day and add them to your personal agenda.
- How do I watch a session?

Check the full schedule in the “Programme and Live Sessions” tab, and then select the session you are interested in.
- What are Live Sessions?

Live Sessions
• These are just like a session at an in-person conference.
• Live Session speakers will be available in the session (via chat) to interact with the audience and answer questions.
• Note: If you miss a Live session, it will be available to watch "On Demand" and on the ISSA event website. - I missed a Live session. Can I have access to a replay?

"On Demand":
All the Live Sessions will be recorded and made available "On Demand" at the end of each day. However, nothing can beat live interaction, so we highly recommend that you attend the sessions live if you want to engage with the audience and the speakers! - I am experiencing stream/video issues. What can I do?

Please note that Swapcard online platform works best with Chrome or Firefox.
If you are experiencing blank pages, streaming issues or app latency, please switch to one of these two browsers (Chrome or Firefox) if you have been working on another browser.
Internet Explorer does not support Swapcard online platform.
Should the video player remain unavailable following a page refresh; it is most likely a security setting on your browser, device, or network blocking access to the content server. We would recommend trying the following.
1. Try accessing the site from another browser (this gets around any browser settings that could be blocking access). If you are on a PC, you should have access to Edge, and if on a Mac, it will be Safari.
2. Open an Incognito Window and try to access the content through this (this gets around any cached or bad data that could be held in the browser).
3. Try on a different device (Mobile perhaps, if you are viewing on desktop).
4. Use a different internet connection, a mobile phone with wifi off so it uses mobile data is a good option (this bypasses things like corporate network restrictions or VPNs that may be presenting an issue).

You may attend all sessions you want. You will have access to Live Sessions on your day of choice, plus the "On Demand" sessions at the end of each day.
- How do I ask questions / interact with speakers?

• For Live Sessions: You can ask questions and interact with both the speakers and others attending the session by using the "Live Discussion Panel" on the right of your screen.
o To share thoughts and chat with other participants, use the "Chat" tab.
o If you have a question specifically for the speaker(s), use the "Questions" tab.
• For On-Demand sessions: You can also find the speaker in the "Speakers" List and then send them a "Connection Request" to begin chatting directly with him/her. - How to export my schedule?
