At a fast pace, new technologies are revolutionising the current health care system. eHealth or digital health has the potential to improve health and to create a new world of care.

First, eHealth contributes to support better coordinated care, allowing different health professionals involved in care delivery to communicate efficiently, working as a team and creating a continuum of care.

eHealth can lead to more systematic and high-quality care by the use of clinical decision support systems and knowledge management tools by health professionals. By using real-time patient monitoring or mobile health (mHealth) applications, more proactive and targeted care can be delivered, reducing costs and improving outcomes.

Further, it can facilitate patient engagement and self-management, providing better and more direct information to patients about health and illness.

Finally, eHealth has the potential to simplify administrative procedures, such as electronic prescriptions for pharmaceuticals.

All these evolutions induce many challenges and call for a dynamic approach of health and social security systems, which should adapt to new forms of care delivery. Public spending on health and long-term care is steadily rising, urging the need to find appropriate answers and to take proactive initiatives to improve access at affordable costs.

Join us for this ISSA webinar that will offer the opportunity to reflect on innovative measures and country experiences, and to share strategies and solutions in the area of eHealth and digitalization of pharmaceutical services.
