The COVID-19 pandemic acts as a stress test for social protection and health systems. Health systems have revealed different levels of preparedness for an outbreak of this magnitude. A major emphasis is now on their resilience, their ability and capacity to absorb, effectively respond and adapt to shocks while sustaining day-to-day operations.

The sanitary crisis paves the way for important reforms to improve responsiveness to future crises and to ensure access to appropriate health care for every patient. Health insurance organisations have a key role to play. By combatting social inequalities in health, guaranteeing universal access to quality health and social services, developing trustworthy communication and increasing the use of digital solutions, they can address long-term challenges.

Join us for our webinar organised by the ISSA Technical Commission on Medical Care and Sickness Insurance (TC Health) to build more resilient health systems.
