The “February: Man’s health” campaign

Implementation year
2017

  • There are learned behaviors among men that make them feel like “superheroes”: hiding pain, postponing visits to the doctor and minimizing any physical indication that something is not right.
  • This results in an increase in diseases and in male mortality in Mexico.
  • Our campaign seeks to foster a culture of prevention and self-care among men in Mexico. The objective is to mainstream and implement this initiative as a national strategy, with the participation of all institutions involved in the Mexican health sector and the private sector.
  • This will allow us to contribute to the improvement of men’s quality of life, informing society about effective and accessible models and mechanisms in order to experience and view masculinity as something compatible with healthy lifestyle habits.
