Recognized as a success story in the Digital Transformation Policy of the Brazilian State, “My INSS”, developed by DATAPREV - Social Security Information and Technology Enterprise (DATAPREV - Empresa de Tecnologia e Informações da Previdência Social), is an online, web and mobile platform, in which citizens have the possibility to access 90 services from the National Institute of Social Security (Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social − INSS) of Brazil.
Created in 2016 to bring efficiency, reduce bureaucracy and make life easier for citizens especially the vulnerable (elderly, disabled, sick), “My INSS” has been redesigned and modernized in 2019 and is currently the main platform to request benefits or services from the Institute.
Brazil, the second most populous country in the Americas, with 211 million inhabitants, has just over 90 million social security policyholders. A significant portion of this audience already accesses the services of the platform, operated by DATAPREV, with security and transparency.
It is important to mention that in the current world context of the new Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), “My INSS” has allowed citizens to access essential social security services without leaving home, contributing to the social isolation measures recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
