Guideline 27. Programme management

A programme is an organizational capability designed to coordinate, direct and oversee the implementation of a set of related projects and activities to deliver outcomes and benefits related to an institution’s strategy or business transformation.

Programme management aligns the corporate strategy, the transformation exercises, and the business-as-usual environment, and it manages the tension that will normally exist between these elements to deliver change, risk, complexity, conflicting priorities and interdependencies.
