Working conditions in transportation should always be safe, regardless of the mode of transportation. The aerial work done by helicopters demands professional guidance and management of everyone involved. Work assignments can only be carried out safely by a thorough risk assessment, full use of all possibilities to minimize risks, a targeted choice of appropriate working materials and personnel as well as comprehensive training of the people involved.
Our member, the BG Verkehr, has developed this special information brochure in close cooperation with experts from the practice. It provides employers of helicopter companies with advice and recommendations on technical, organizational and personnel measures to implement their obligations with regard to occupational health and safety regulations or accident prevention regulations. It shows ways to effectively prevent or minimize accidents at work, occupational diseases and work-related health hazards.
