In connection with the International Labour Conference (ILC), the International Social Security Association (ISSA) held important meetings with visitors from many organizations. The guests included ministers and leaders of social security institutions.

The ISSA Liaison Office for North Africa has moved from Algeria to Tunisia. The transition was marked by an opening ceremony and a technical seminar on social security reforms in the Maghreb region, organized in Tunis from 24 to 25 May 2022.

Member institutions from 32 countries will now have the additional support of the new ISSA Focal Point for French-speaking countries. The Focal Point is hosted by the CIFM-ISSA, a coordinating body for member institutions of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) in France.

More than 11,600 participants registered to the webinars of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) in 2021. The webinars have strengthened the ISSA’s outreach to staff in its member organizations worldwide and contributed to knowledge sharing and production within the Association.

The Public Institution for Social Security of Kuwait has taken over the ISSA Liaison Office for Arab countries. The transfer was celebrated in an online event, which also gave the opportunity to thank the Social Security Corporation of Jordan for hosting the office for many years.
