ISSA International Prevention Sections

The Special Commission on Prevention is composed of 14 international prevention sections, each of which has its own work plan and contributes to the Special Commission's broader work plan, which aligns with ISSA triennial priorities. The Special Commission coordinates the joint activities of the international sections in the field of prevention of occupational risks, as well as other prevention activities of the ISSA.

The Prevention Sections are key actors in prevention. Their work encompasses a range of industries and horizontal issues. All Sections play a key role in addressing both, traditional hazards and new and emerging risks. They are the backbone and strong supporters of the ISSA’s Vision Zero strategy. The International Prevention Sections also support technical cooperation projects by providing expertise, drafting specialized publications and participating in occupational safety and health conferences and training workshops.
