The Section on Prevention in Transportation of the International Social Security Association (ISSA), together with its member BG Verkehr, has produced five fact sheets on COVID-19 protective measures for various transportation sectors in six languages. Additional Korean versions of the fact sheets
The report "How to improve the safety of goods vehicles in the EU?" has been compiled and recently published by the ETSC (European Transport Safety Council), with the support of the DVR (German Road Safety Council). Both are members of the ISSA Section on Prevention in Transportation.
The Section on Prevention in Transportation of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) has a new management. Dr. Nadja Schilling (BG Verkehr*, Germany) was elected as the new Secretary General by the General Assembly by written vote as of 1 May 2020. The new Treasurer is Meike Hauschild
In October 2019, the European Occupational Health and Safety Symposium "Vision Zero in the Waste Industry" took place in Hamburg. The event was organized by the ISSA Section on Prevention in Transportation.
