XXII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work 2020

4–7 October 2020 | TorontoCanada

The XXII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work will take place in Toronto, 4-7 October 2020. The Congress will be co-organized by the ISSA with the ILO and hosted by the Institute for Work & Health (IWH) and the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health & Safety (CCOHS).

Held every three years since 1955, the World Congress is a unique international Forum that brings together approximately 3,000 safety and health experts, decision makers from the field of social security and the public sector as well as employers' and workers' representatives from around the world to exchange ideas, research and best practices on highly topical issues in the area of occupational safety and health.

For the occasion of this World Congress the ISSA is presenting the Vision Zero strategy, which was launched as a campaign during the last Word Congress. It promotes a global prevention culture, in which strategies for occupational safety and health are not limited to the workplace, but also contribute to human well-being and benefit economies and societies.

The Conference motto, “Prevention in the Connected Age - Global solutions to achieve safe & healthy work for all”, goes hand in hand with the ISSA’s Innovation programme and its Digital Economy and Social Security Observatory. The Digital Economy will profoundly impact how to address workplace safety and health.
