The onset of the Covid-19 pandemic brought a wave of suffering to the world in many aspects where economic activities have been hampered significantly and the individual’s ability to remain employed as well as sustain a living are negatively impacted.

In Malaysia, the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), an entity under the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia has stretched its mission of providing social security protection through the Employment Insurance Services (EIS) in collaboration with various ministries and agencies, working with thousands of people who have lost their jobs and sources of income. As part of this mission, SOCSO is delighted to bring people from all over the world through one platform, “The International Public Employment Forum 2021: Reviving, Realigning and Rebuilding the Labour Market”.

The forum features three important concurrent programs which includes the Return to Work Digimos Symposium (6–7 September) for disability management practitioners across Southeast Asia. It will also feature prominent international speakers from ISSA and various labour market institutions on best practices in policies pertaining employment in the International Public Employment Service Symposium (7–8 September). On 9 September the forum will end with a Career Expo where 10,000 employment opportunities will be made available for job seekers who are seeking for employment opportunities.
