Master’s degree in social security

The Executive Master’s in Public Performance Management and International Social Security is a new programme that focuses on building leadership and management capacity in social security institutions as well as technical capacity in advanced areas of social security management.

The academic contributions provided helps students tackle the most relevant issues. Using specific public affairs analysis grids, they will learn to use effective methods and tools, enabling them to understand the issues involved and act in a precise and decisive fashion. In addition to the knowledge and the tools they will learn, these will be immediately applicable in the field. Students will benefit from innovative and participative teaching methods based on concrete case studies, role-playing exercises from their professional environment, and decision-making exercises in complex situations.

The Executive Master was designed by Sciences Po Bordeaux, France, whose international research departments primarily focus on French-speaking countries, particularly in Africa. It was developed in partnership with ISSA and Forhom, the training centre of Egis Conseil. Forhom provides training for African managerial staff at Bordeaux and La Rochelle. It is accredited for four certification courses (public procurement, public procurement litigation, project monitoring and evaluation, and performance management) and for internal training with various African institutions (in Côte d’Ivoire and Rwanda).

The first group of students began its studies on September 18, 2023, and will finish it on 30 September 2025. The first semester is placed under the educational supervision of Forhom and ends on January 15, 2024. The second and third are placed under the authority of Sciences Po Bordeaux, ending on 28 June 2024 and on 17 January 2025. Finally, the fourth semester is led by ISSA and ends on 27 June 2025.
