Technical Commission on Organization, Management and Innovation

Effective delivery of social security to citizens depends on social security institutions having solid management and organizational structures, and this is the focus of the Technical Commission on Organization, Management and Innovation.

Social security institutions play a significant role in the lives of citizens. They constitute the core of governments’ capacity to design, implement and deliver adequate social security benefits and services. To do so, institutions must run efficiently and reliably, provide services to the public that are clear to understand and effective for various population groups, provide confidence about members’ rights and obligations, and provide benefits and services even in the most extreme situations.

The Technical Commission on Organization, Management and Innovation focuses on these challenges. It proactively engages within the ISSA community, developing and identifying new trends and good practices that can support its members in improving overall governance, management, human resources, communication, service quality, resilience and innovation. It collaborates intimately with the Technical Commission on Information and Communication Technology identifying how technology can help serve social security’s broader goals and mission across all branches of social security, as well as other ISSA technical commissions.
