BPJAMSOSTEK Paritrana Award - Expanding social security coverage through stakeholder collaboration

Implementation year
2017

In order to achieve universal coverage for the Employment Social Security Programme, the central government continues to encourage local governments and businessmen to protect all workers through it.

The government through the coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, together with the National Social Security Administering Body for Employment (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan), initiated an Employment Social Security Award programme called the Paritrana Award. It has been four years since the Paritrana Award was first held in 2017 with 243 candidates. It is given to provincial governments, regency/city governments, medium-to-large-scale and micro-to-small enterprises that are fully committed to supporting the implementation of the Employment Social Security Programme.

The purpose of this award is to give appreciation to local governments and businessmen that fully support the implementation of the programme. The award also increases their participation in the programme, increases compliance and awareness, and creates a positive image that the government exists for the welfare of Indonesian workers.
