Standardizing the process of constructing experience mortality tables for CDG Prévoyance activities: An innovative statistical tool to reflect insured persons’ real mortality risk

Implementation year
2002

As part of its social mission, Morocco’s CDG Prévoyance manages, by way of the National Pension and Insurance Fund (Caisse nationale de retraite et d’assurances – CNRA), a public institution guaranteed by the State, a multitude of schemes and solidarity funds covering various categories of beneficiary. As such, the CNRA is responsible for collecting the constituent capital, which is calculated according to rates imposed by legislation.

Given the inadequacy of the technical bases currently used to determine the rates relating to this capital (primarily mortality tables), and the resulting technical deficits, CDG Prévoyance has created an experience mortality table that faithfully reflects beneficiaries’ real mortality. This has made it possible to identify the most closely aligned statutory mortality table.

This good practice was submitted by the CDG Prévoyance that is now part of Savings-Pensions Branch of the Deposit and Management Fund (Branche Epargne-Prévoyance de la Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion – BEP CDG).
