Quick-couplers with automatic monitoring of the locking position or additional locking mechanism
Quick-couplers were developed to minimize time and effort when interchanging equipment (e.g. from clamshell buckets to fork tines). Due to missing control by the operator or an additional locking system the quick-couplers may remove and cause serious and fatal accidents.
There are special locking systems on the market for some time. One of the new locking mechanisms monitors the correct locking position automatically via sensor monitoring. For positive-fit or wedge-shaped locking systems there are special solutions on the market with an additional locking mechanism which is integrated directly in the quick change system.
