Cabo Verde’s National Social Insurance Institute (Instituto Nacional de Previdência Social – INPS), which covers around half of the population, set itself the goal of providing a top-quality service in response to society’s ever-increasing demands. With this in mind, in 2013 the Institute began the process of rolling out a quality management system (QMS), which culminated – in 2017 – in ISO 9001: 2015 certification. Its primary objective was to improve its performance towards its clients and stakeholders.
