Spain’s General Treasury of Social Security (Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social – TGSS), part of the Federation of Administrative Bodies of Spanish Social Security (Federación de Entidades Gestoras de la Administración de la Seguridad Social Española – FEGASSE), has always identified itself by its commitment to innovation, using technology as a basis for expanding and strengthening its digital channels and new management models. The arrival of the pandemic and the subsequent closure of customer-service offices only served to reinforce the need to rethink the manner in which we communicate with the public through the development of digital services, which had previously seen very little use.
Importass, the new TGSS portal, was created to bring about a radical shift in the organization’s interactions with the general public, households and the self-employed; specifically on the basis of optimized and simplified processes and procedures, from which have stemmed new digital services for citizens to use.
Importass enables more direct and intuitive communication with citizens, through clear and transparent language, thereby helping them to meet their social security obligations.
